ANNUAL INTERGROUP BANQUET
– Every year we celebrate our members with an annual banquet to celebrate Intergroup’s milestone.
– A chairperson will be appointed or can volunteer for this position, which entails in planning and organizing this event.
– Eligible members need to be present at all our business meetings to informed of the progress and plannings of the event. And at the end of event present a last report at the following month after the event.
– Member has to have a minimum of 1 year of sobriety and had to be attending our business meeting for at least 6 months.
– Event is on the 3rd Saturday on March .
FOUNDER’S DAY PICNIC
– Person in charge should be someone with 1 year of sobriety and has to be attending our monthly meetings for at least 6 months in order to volunteer for this position.
– Founder’s Day Picnic is done in the State Park Bill Baggs in Key Biscayne in the month of June closer to the date of the original Founder’s Day.
– Chair person is to get volunteers and plan the event, find cooks to take care of the bar b q’s. Find volunteers to be of service during the event.
BIG SERVICE BREAKFAST
– It is a joint venture between Intergroup and General Service District 10 in which one year is run by either one and the other party is the co-chair.
– It is a service event. Participation from all committees from Intergroup and General Service District 10 are expected to make a short presentation to explain the duties of each committee.
– This is a voluntary service position. 1 year of sobriety
PUBLIC INFORMATION
– It is a volunteer service position within Intergroup to assist Public Information at the District level. 1 year of sobriety and has to be attending the Intergroup business meetings for at least 6 months.
OUTREACH
– It is a volunteer service position, this person is required to attend meetings or business meetings from groups that usually do not participate at the Intergroup level.
– To educate and inform groups and members about what is Intergroup, and what we do for all the groups in our area.
– Ideally, connect those groups with Intergroup so they can have a rep attending our monthly business meetings.
– 1 year of sobriety and be attending the Intergroup Business meetings for at least 6 months.
GENERAL SERVICE DISTRICT 10 LIAISON
– It is a volunteer service position, 1 year minimum sobriety. it is required to attend the General Service District 10 meetings the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm and bring a report to our monthly meetings.
– Has to be attending our monthly meetings for at least 6 months.
SPANISH INTERGROUP LIAISON
– It is a volunteer service position, it has to be someone that speaks Spanish, and could attend their Intergroup business meetings and make a report to bring at our Intergroup monthly meeting.
– Requirement volunteer needs to speak Spanish. 1 year of sobriety and had to be attending our monthly meetings for at least 6 months.
12 STEP RELAY
-Our 12 Step Relay is the most important committee position we have.
– It is a service volunteer position. The chair person should maintain a schedule of volunteers to fill out different shifts throughout the day so there’s always an alcoholic answering the phones.
– We are always looking for volunteers.
– 1 year minimum of sobriety and be attending our monthly meetings for at least 6 months.
-New volunteer needs to have the app WhatsApp in their phone to be part of the 12 Step Relay for constant communication with the other volunteers.
